What we know

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, the GSA received key technical Cement Testing Equipment from GHACEM to augment the work of its Cement Testing Laboratory. The donation further strengthens the longstanding relationship enjoyed between the two institutions and is a follow-up on a promise made by GHACEM to support the Authority with some equipment needs. At a brief ceremony to present the equipment, the Managing Director of GHACEM Ghana Ltd., Dr. Frank Huber, noted that his outfit recognizes the difficult job the GSA is involved in and is committed to supporting the Authority. “We recognize your important job at hand at GSA, and we see you as partners. You can rely on us to support your worthy cause whenever we can,” Dr. Huber said. The Director-General (DG), Professor George Agyei, for his part, expressed the Authority’s appreciation to the GHACEM for the gesture, stating that the donation represents the institution’s commitment to supporting state agencies in achieving their mandate. “GHACEM has been the yardstick in the Ghanaian cement industry. We appreciate this gesture, and we promise we’ll take good use of the equipment and put them to prudent use. We’ll continue working together to achieve a standardised industry,” Prof Agyei said. The GHACEM delegation also used the opportunity to congratulate and welcome the new GSA administration and pledged its cooperation and support to achieving great things.
