The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) on March 16 and 17, 2026, engaged key stakeholders in a two-day consultative meeting on the development of draft Ghana Standards for the cannabis value chain at Standards Height, Accra. The engagement assembled experts and industry players to review and discuss the proposed standards to ensure they are aligned with international best practices. Mr. Kojo Eshun, Deputy Director-General in charge of Conformity Assessment (DDG-CAS), Mr. Alexander Twum-Barimah, the Narcotics Control Commission’s Deputy Director-General for Enforcement, Control and Elimination, as well as other distinguished dignitaries, attended the meeting, which comes at a pivotal moment of innovation where Ghana officially launched the licensing regime for industrial and medicinal cannabis.
